You may bag your leg to shower.

After Your Sclerotherapy Treatment

After your treatment, the bandages and/or stocking must NOT be removed for 48 hours. After 48 hours, you will need to wear your compressive stockings during your waking hours for ____ weeks.

Take one 25mg Benadryl (an over-the counter medication) at bedtime the night of your procedure.

You may bag your leg to shower. Please keep the bandages and/or stocking dry.

If you are a sportsman/women you may continue with you sport providing the bandages and stocking do not get wet. 

When your treatment is completely finished you should wear compressive stocking, especially if your occupation requires long periods of standing.

You should walk as much as you can.

Leg waxing and/or shaving can be performed only after a period of two weeks from your last treatment.

Resume your diet if overweight and continue to exercise daily.

You will return in one to two weeks after Sclerotherapy (at no charge) for the physician to check your legs.

You can have more veins treated (depending on your veins) in two to six weeks.

Over the long-term, we recommend that you continue to wear compressive stocking as much as possible to prevent new varicose veins.  It is important for you to realize that after injection treatment of these veins, it is possible for them to recur.
