A CT or computerized axial tomography scan is an x-ray procedure that combines many x-ray images with the aid of a computer to generate cross-sectional views and, if needed, three-dimensional images of the internal organs and structures of the body.  It is more commonly known by its abbreviated names, CT scan or CAT scan.  A CT scan is used to define normal and abnormal structures in the body.

We have a 32 slice CT scan machine

Our scanner has Sure Exposure which allows the machine to minimize the patients’ radiation dose

We consult with on site Radiologists to tailor each exam according to the doctor’s orders & diagnosis and the patient’s history & symptoms

We are ACR accredited.

The following exams may require patients to drink oral contrast prior to their exam and may receive intravenous contrast once they are in the room.  Depending on the reason for the scan and the type of scan ordered will determine the type of contrast administered.

Also any history of allergies to IVP dye, Iodine, CT dye or previous reactions may require the patient to be premedicated before the scan if contrast is necessary.
