What is Spasticity?

Center for Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, P.C.

Spasticity is a muscle disorder usually the result of a number of common medical conditions including stroke, brain injury, multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy.  Spasticity is abnormal muscle function with symptoms of stiffness, spasms, jerking limbs and pain.

Dr. Sable, a board certified physiatrist, will completely assess your problem to ensure appropriate diagnosis and treatment.  Then, he will design a specific program tailored to your problem.  This may include medications, Botox injections, and physical therapy, all of which are provided here, at the Center for Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.
