*Specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1978 at Providence Hospital *After 20 years of practice, changed focus to gynecology with a special interest in minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries *Other interests are menopause, urinary incontinence and holistic preventive women's health with an emphasis on emotional and spiritual health *Involved in resident physician education as the Medical Director of the Ambulatory Center for OB/GYN residents. Dr. Gavini received outstanding teaching awards in 1982, 1991, and 2007 for her work with the residents. Received the APGO (American Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology) award for 2004 *In 1993, voted in the top 100 doctors in Detroit's Hour Magazine *Presented with Blue Care Network's Award of Excellence for perfect patient satisfaction in 2004 *Surgical expertise in robot assisted laparoscopy hysterectomy for diagnosis of fibroids or pelvic masses. First surgeon at Providence Hospital to use the DaVinci robot and has performed over 30 cases in the last year. *Dr. Gavini offers her patients the most advanced care available, always with a personal touch.
