OUR ULTRSOUND TECHNOLOGISTS ARE REGISTERED WITH THE AMERICAN REGISTRY FOR MEDICAL SONOGRAHPY (ARDMS).

OUR FACILITY IS ACR ACCREDITED.

 

Ultrasound is an imaging method that uses sound waves to produce an image.  Ultrasound can be used to examine many organs, blood vessels, and soft tissues in the body.  A hand-held instrument (transducer) along with water-soluble gel is placed on the body and moved over the area of interest. After the procedure, a report is generated and sent to your requesting physician.

 

 

The following Ultrasound exams require a preparation:

 

ABDOMEN: LIVER, GALLBLADDER, PANCREAS, SPLEEN,

AORTA, KIDNEYS, & BLADDER

GYNECOLOGICAL: UTERUS, OVARIES, & ADENEXA

OBSTETRICAL: 1ST TRIMESTER

 

No preparation is needed for the following exams:

 

BREAST, THYROID, SCROTUM, & SUPERFICIAL SOFT TISSUES

VASCULAR: CAROTID ARTERIES, LOWER EXTREMITY ARTERIES, LOWER EXTREMITY VEINS
