The Providence Athletic Medicine program is a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary primary care and sports medicine service offering a wide range of medical care for the entire family. Our physicians are board certified in family practice with a specialty in sports medicine. The doctors proudly serve as the team/event physicians for the Plymouth Whalers, Madonna University, Detroit Free Press Marathon, Motor City Bowl and Island Lake Triathlon. We also provide various coverage for local high schools and special events.
Sports medicine today involves the prevention, recognition and treatment of injuries, but also the promotion of overall wellness, health and fitness.
Providence Athletic Medicine offers a full range of services to meet the unique needs of the athlete at every age and level from grade school to professional.Our goal is to return the patient as quickly and safely as possible to their desired activity. Dr. David Peck has been chosen as the team physician for the USA Hockey Team World Junior A Challenge. The event will take place in Alberta, Canada on November 2-10.
